Sales numbers are good for Chevrolet products and that is a positive thing for your used truck Chicago dealership. It means business is solid, people are buying vehicles, both signs that our troubled economy might be getting better. It’s no surprise really, Chevy cars, trucks, SUV’s and Roselle Used Cars are high quality, affordable vehicles that loyal buyers have come to trust over many years.
One key area to June’s sales being so good was a resurgence in the large pick-up class. Combining the sales of the Chevy Silverado, Avalanche, and GMC Sierra in June, it’s a 27% increase from the amount sold in June 2009. For the calendar year of Jan 1, 2010 t0 June 30, 2010 the sales of these models are up 12% based on what they were for the same time period in 2009. Businesses are starting to invest more in their overall fleets, another indication that things are getting better in the money/job sector.
Another Chevy model that did really well in June was the Equinox. 11,490 of these were sold in June, compared to 4.108 in June 2009. This is an 179% increase, which is truly amazing. People are clearly starting to recognize its great features such as an eye-catching exterior design, good fuel economy for the compact SUV class, and a redesigned interior for the 2010 car year. It’s also a great option for a family vehicle, offering plenty of cargo space.
Moreover, sales of other new and Roselle used cars are up for the month of June. The Chevy Malibu saw sales increase 80% and the Aveo saw a sales increase of a whopping 158%. Both are great cars if you are opting for something other than a truck or SUV. They have decent gas mileage and come at an affordable price.
This is a really promising thing for GM and for your used truck Chicago dealership. The auto industry has gone through a lot of turmoil in the past few years with lagging sales, brands going bye-bye, and people losing jobs. Sales going in a positive direction is a sure sign that things are starting to look up!
