
The Chevrolet Camaro seemed to be everywhere at SEMA this year, a clear favorite of the customizing crowd. Chevrolet alone brought five. And surprisingly, few examples turned up of other vehicles we thought might excite the hot-rod crowd, including Ford Flex, Nissan GT-R, Smart car and Nissan Cube. One Camaro caught our eye in particular: the green one.
Here’s an early warning. Green is about to come back with a vengeance. Chevy is going to offer the Camaro pictured above, as it is shown off by General Motors’ Bob Rozek, as a limited-time color in the first quarter next year. It isn’t that deep forest green that showed up on so many of those Eddie Bauer editions of the Ford Explorer. This is a bright, metallic kelly green. Or at GM calls it, “synergy green.” We’d like to say the color choice is related to raised environmental consciousness but we don’t think it is.
